Lipscomb Elementary
Lipscomb Elementary School was established in 1921 and has a long history of serving our richly diverse neighborhood in the heart of old East Dallas. Lipscomb’s mission is to educate, nurture, and inspire each child to become an independent, creative, and lifelong learner. The school is nestled within the Junius Heights neighborhood and feeds into J.L. Long Middle School and Woodrow Wilson High School.
Lipscomb Elementary is one of only two elementary schools in DISD with a certified International Baccalaureate (IB) Primary Years Programme. Lipscomb also offers a two-way Dual Language program for all grades, as well as Pre-K 3 & 4. Faculty and staff at Lipscomb Elementary have created a nurturing and challenging environment where students achieve and exceed academic standards every day. Lipscomb is staffed with experienced master teachers who have a passion for education and commitment to support every child to achieve his or her potential. The school is laying the foundation for the future of our students as successful, contributing members of our community.
